Pricey rotten chicken in the safe

FRANCISTOWN: In a puzzling case before the courts, two Furnmart workers were on Friday charged with stealing money kept in the company safe and replacing it with a live chicken which later suffocated and died.

The state alleges that Ruth Molobe and Tadwa Tshoganetso between January 31 and February 1, 2016 stole P92,473, 22 from the Furnmart safe and put a live chicken inside.

Molobe and Tshoganetso hold the positions of  credit controller and cashier respectively at Furnmart Nzano branch.
