Premier Indian eye centre performs free operations in Botswana

Experts from the renowned and premier Indian eye hospital and research centre, the Sankara Netralaya (SN), are in Botswana to conduct free eye clinics and cataract operations in various parts of the country.

The project was initiated by the Botswana Ministry of Health and taken up by the Indian High Commission (IHC) in Botswana, who identified Sankara Netralaya for this noble task.

It was not smooth sailing at all. There were many constraints, notably cost constraints.
