Politicians Quibble Over UB Politics Policy

The University of Botswana policy on partisan politics on campus approved in March will be implemented starting November 1. The policy discourages partisan politics on UB premises.

Executive secretary of the Botswana Democratic Party, Comma Serema, says he does not object to the university's decision. He says that an institution like it must have given a lot of thought to such a move before finally taking action.

"If it is in the best interest of the institution then, it's okay. No one can say they didn't know about the policy because it has been in the pipeline for a long time".
