Policemen suspended for alleged graft

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Two officers of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and one uniformed officer based at the Selebi-Phikwe Police Station have been suspended over allegations of taking bribes.

"We are trying to close all gaps of corruption at this station," said the Acting Station Commander of the Selebi-Phikwe Police Station, assistant senior superintendent Goganang Pule, this week. 

"It is true that the officers have been suspended. The uniformed officer was even detained in police cells. However, detaining someone does not mean the person is guilty.
