Police recover P722 000 worth stolen property

The robbery is said to have happened in the afternoon around 2pm. The eight men allegedly attacked the business man who was in the company of his four colleagues and were threatened with offensive weapons. Confirming to be investigating the case, Botswana Police Service (BPS) spokesperson Deputy commissioner, Dipheko Motube said the men were arrested at different places in Gaborone and Mogoditshane respectively and 117 laptops were recovered including an Everest vehicle.
"The businessman was robbed around P700 000 and R22 000 worth of property that included an Everest vehicle, 130 laptops and three mobile phones. The items were already sold and the police managed to recover them in Mogoditshane, Bontleng, Block 5 and Broadhurst respectively. During the arrest the criminals were found in possession of a pellet gun," Motube said.
