Police probe P40,000 robbery of bar owner

Tlokweng Police station commander, superintendent Unoziba Rari said the victim was attacked and robbed by four suspects while arriving at his Tlokweng yard at around 3am after closing up for the night in Mmopane. Rari stated that though the victim was threatened with a sharp object, the suspects did not assault or stab him.
“The four unknown men allegedly escaped the scene in a white Toyota Wish and investigations are ongoing to locate and arrest the suspects. We have not yet established if the suspects had followed the victim from his business in Mmopane or if they were all along waiting for him at his yard in Tlokweng where they pounced on him on arrival.
We highly suspect that they might have been observing his movements and had waited for him in his neighbourhood to attack and rob him,” Rari said. In February, a Ramotswa bar owner was attacked by thugs and stabbed to death in the wee hours while driving home after closing up for the night.
