Police present during night club murder

The deceased, Masego Chuma was said to have been preparing to attend the funeral of the man who was killed the previous weekend at the same place.  The latest murder incident was the second in a week in the same area.  Another man, Jackie Bogatsu, whose life was cut short in a similar fashion, has since been buried.

Testifying before a packed Extension 2 Magistrates’ Court yesterday, the investigating officer (IO), Detective Mogotsi Rankhudu said the police were present when the incident happened. The charge sheet had earlier been read to the accused, 26-year-old Gaone Morake.
