FRANCISTOWN: Police here are still on the lookout for a man charged with a number of drug offences and robbery. The alleged drug lord, Wazha Nthoiwa, popularly known as Mapetla in social circles, escaped from the law after he allegedly robbed an acquaintance.

He allegedly robbed his business partner and the brother of his girlfriend, Shepherd Jubane sometime in September.

Nthoiwa is believed to be hiding in South Africa, which has proven to be a safe haven for Botswana criminals especially those facing murder charges because South Africa does not carry out capital punishment.
