Police chief suspended

Mabutsana Police Station Commander has been suspended from duty pending investigations into missing funds at the station.

Sources say about P60, 000, which was to be used as exhibits in some criminal matters, had vanished. Botswana police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner, Christopher Mbulawa, has confirmed the ban, saying they are still investigating the matter.

Mbulawa added that the station commander was suspended early last month.
