Police boss orders investigation into Maun altercation

The commissioner of police Thebeyame Tsimako has set up a team to carry out an investigation into the circumstances that led to an altercation between the police and some members of the police in Maun on November 15, 2011.

The investigating team is expected to give a full report to the commissioner within a week.

Botswana Television (Btv) recently showed disturbing clips of the altercation between members of the public and the police who had responded to a report of an unlawful assembly in the village.
