Police arrest four armed robbery suspects

Police have arrested four suspects who robbed a construction company of property worth over P 58 000 in Phakalane on Tuesday morning. The stolen property included five laptops, cellphones and over P 10 000 in cash.

The suspects entered  the company premises armed with handguns and demanded money from two security guards and two employees of the company who were on duty.They took the said property and fled in a Toyota Run-X towards Gaborone after locking the four employees in a storeroom. The employees later reported the matter to the police who arrested the suspects.

They are reported to have been found in possession of two handguns and eight life ammunitions. The laptop and part of the stolen money were recovered from the suspects. The Toyota Run-X they were using has been impounded. No one was injured during the incident, the Botswana Police Service Public Relations Unit said. Police further said  that the suspects were arraigned yesterday.
