Police Appeal For Info On Murder

FRANCISTOWN: The Commander of Gerald Police Station, Motsholathebe Mothibi, is appealing to members of the public to help with information that may lead to the arrest of the murderer of Lydia Zvawanda (29) at Tati Siding.

The body of the deceased was found in a house currently under construction.
"We suspect that the deceased was raped, then suffocated because she had a nosebleed and some scratch marks around her neck," Mothibi said. "Her undergarments were also removed. Even though the post-mortem was conducted on the body, it is hard to verify if rape occurred because the doctor said the deceased was in her menses when she was killed."

"The only information we received was that on the night before she died, she was seen at her parents home in Tati Siding driving a red car. At this time, we don't want to suspect that the murderer may be a serial killer because it is only one murder case that we are currently investigating.
