They discuss Botswana's foreign policy, Zimbabwe, African government and the post of Vice-president, which becomes vacant next year. General Merafhe talks about his retirement plans and the discussion veers off on a tangent to how he manages a baby face and his relationship with his look-alike, Thapelo Matsheka.

Mmegi: How long have you been a minister of Foreign Affairs?

Merafhe: I have been appointed to this ministry after the 1994 general election until today.
Mmegi: That would possibly make you the longest serving Botswana foreign affairs minister?
