Plans to make colleges of education autonomous

FRANCISTOWN: The government is looking at ways to make its seven colleges of education autonomous, Francistown College of Education (FCE) head Sir-Wonder Masebola has said.

He revealed that the colleges have identified a task force to come up with what is expected of the colleges once they become self-governing.

Masebola said the colleges are waiting eagerly to be given the opportunity to run their affairs. "We are going to be given autonomy to run the institutions and that is how the colleges are going to be governed but we have put together a task force that will determine the recommendations," he said.
