Phumaphi nips in to address HR gala

Former Minister of Health, Joy Phumaphi, who is now a vice president of the World Bank, is expected in Gaborone from her Geneva office to speak at a human resource management gala dinner next Friday.

"She will address the audience, which will be made up of people in management in Botswana, on a number of issues," says Tebatso Hule of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM-Botswana). Hule says IHRM-Botswana is a professional body for practitioners of human resource management that aims to ensure professionalism and integrity in the field.

"To advance the cause of the institute, IHRM has a number of programmes like the Mentorship Programme through which junior HR practitioners are paired up with experienced mentors to give them guidance for their career advancement," he says.
