Phikwe on the roll in 2007

SELEBI-PHIKWE: 2007 will go down as a largely successful year for Selebi-Phikwe as the mining town's economic fortunes took a turn for the better.

Phikwe has for long been seen as a ghost town-in-waiting largely due to its dependence on BCL mine whose future has, in the past, been a subject of debate.

There was an air of gloom and doom when Phikwe lost the opportunity to house the country's second university.
