Phikwe councillor publishes novel

Nominated councillor Mmapula Mmidi-Phuduhudu has published a novel entitled 'An Open Mind.'

The book is based on the personal life experiences of the author and reflects the challenges encountered in various endeavours and choices made to overcome obstacles. Phuduhudu said in an interview that the underlying message of the book underscores the importance of keeping an open mind in dealing with life problems. She explains that such an approach is fundamental and appropriate to the human development efforts of this country, especially now given that the country is grappling with issues of productivity, relevance and delivery.

She mentioned that people can make a difference in their lives only if they change the way they think. "I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it," she says. She explained that this was a self-financed project and just like any project she had to work hard to find money for it.
