Pharmacy manager steals P700,000, faces 400 charges

Tichaidza Taurona-Mavuchira from Zimbabwe allegedly stole over P700,000 from Mega Drugstore on different dates between 2015 and 2021 in Francistown. Mega Drugstore, located at Nswazwi Mall in Francistown, is one of the leading retail pharmacies in Botswana and is an affiliate of Hana Pharmacy also in the second city.

When Taurona-Mavuchira appeared before Magistrate Thabang Chokwe, Baedzi Matshambane from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions applied for charges to be read against the accused and for her to take a plea.
