The Botswana Police Service (BPS) proudly announces the appointment of Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP), Diphontsho Pharithi, to the United Nations (UN) Secretariat as a Training Officer in the Department of Peace Operations based in New York City, United States of America.

Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) Pharithi has been offered a two-year secondment following a rigorous and highly competitive international selection process conducted by the United Nations Department of Peace Operations (UNDPO). The process attracted candidates from across the globe, with only seven officers ultimately shortlisted for the position.

Notably, SACP Pharithi distinguished herself as the only female candidate and the sole representative from Africa among the shortlisted officers.
