Public Enterprises Evaluation and Privatization Agency (PEEPA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Joshua Galeforolwe is set to lose his position in about four months after the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning declined to renew his contract.

Galeforolwe's term is due to end next month.  However last week the permanent secretary in the ministry Sekwakwa made a recommendation to the chairman of the PEEPA board of directors, Blackie Marole urging the board to start looking for Galeforolwe's replacement. Sekwakwa indicates that acting on orders from the minister he was urging the board to advertise Galeforolwe's post. He further asked the board to extend Galeforolwe's stay for another four months to allow for the recruitment process to take its course until a replacement is found.

The letter is said to have been a product of some presentation made to acting Finance Minister, Kenneth Matambo mid-September by Marole.
