Pedestrians severely injured in separate car crashes

The Broadhurst police are actively investigating two separate incidents involving pedestrians who were struck by vehicles near BBS Mall in Gaborone, resulting in serious injuries on Saturday night.

The first incident occurred around 8:30pm on Saturday, between BBS Mall and Extension 27 in Gaborone. A 47-year-old man was hit by a car while attempting to cross the road.

As a result of the collision, he sustained a fractured left thigh and is currently undergoing treatment at the Gaborone Private Hospital (GPH). According to the Broadhurst Police Station commander, Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae, the victim was crossing the road from BBS Mall towards Extension 27 when the accident took place.
