Pedestrian dies in Mogoditshane accident

A 42-year-old woman has succumbed to her injuries at Sidilega Private Hospital after being hit by a car on Friday in Mogoditshane while attempting to cross the road.

The accident occurred early morning during rush hour near First National Bank (FNB). Mogoditshane acting station commander, Assistant Superintendent Mompoloki Ramaphoi said following the accident, the victim was rushed to Sidilega Private Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

“The traffic lights were open when the deceased crossed the road and a speeding car hit her. She sustained serious head injuries. Later in the day, we received a report from the hospital that she succumbed to the injuries,” he said.
