Parents of students whose results were nullified after alleged dishonesty during examinations at the Oriel International School gathered recently.

However, the meeting to inform the parents of the outcome of the investigation by the Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) failed. Speaking at the meeting, parents said they were  alarmed at allegations of cheating and nullification of results.

"Before we can go ahead with this appeal, I want to know if the teachers have tried to investigate themselves within the school to see where the problem could have come from. What if we decide to go to BEC for answers and the detailed response that we want is more pointing to the teachers? That would be more painful to us," one parent said.
