Divisional Traffic Officer for Southern division, Assistant Commissioner Boiki Mojalemotho, said they have charged 23 pedestrians with misconduct following a weekend road safety outreach aimed at curbing rising pedestrian road accidents.

The outreach, held in Kanye over the weekend, forms part of ongoing police efforts to address road safety concerns and promote responsible use of roads by all users, especially pedestrians.

Speaking in an interview, Divisional Traffic Officer for Southern division, Assistant Commissioner Boiki Mojalemotho, said the operation was prompted by persistent cases of road fatalities, many of which involve pedestrians.
