Speaker after speaker at the funeral related what an intelligent man he was, but it was his sense of humour that was highlighted by everyone. He was very generous, having once cycled from Francistown to Gaborone to raise money for the needy. Though it is reported that he was not a regular churchgoer, one of the priests at the UCCSA described him as a regular contributor to their funds for the needy.
