OP team helps revamp 'House of Hope' garden

The Office of the President (OP) has proven that its poverty eradication programme is not short-sighted, as it is aimed at improving the lives of citizens and future generations.

This emerged last week when OP staff members visited Gabane village to breathe new life into a vegetable garden that belongs to Gabane 'House of Hope': a home that used to accommodate homeless people and those with disabilities.

Since its occupants kept on reducing in number, until there was no one left, its rooms were rented out. However, health caregivers and Maruapula school students and staff members continued to plough the garden with the produce being distributed to the poor in the village.
