OP calls off opposition meeting on strike

The Office of President has called off President Ian Khama's meeting with opposition party leaders scheduled for today afternoon to discuss the on-going strike by public servants.

The opposition had sought a meeting last week and was granted today to meet Khama.

In an interview yesterday, leader of opposition and Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) vice-president, Botsalo Ntuane said they were told the meeting has been postponed "until further notice."
