Of crime in Maun and the peripheries

MAUN: Two Zambian men have been arrested for possession of a pair of elephant tusks, which they had hidden in a sack of dried fish last week.

The men were arrested during a 23hrs00-raid in Kubung ward on Friday.  Maun police superintendent John Kelebeng told Mmegi that the men were caught following a tip-off.

The two men, aged 32 and 48, are the latest to be arrested in an increasing number of ivory cases in Ngamiland involving foreign nationals.
