Ntuane turns opposition songbird

Specially elected MP, Botsalo Ntuane is singing opposition lyrics. Contributing to the debate on President Festus Mogae's address, Ntuane said he was against the introduction of school fees.

He said the introduction of school fees would do more harm than good. The legislator proposed that education should be universally free. 

Members of the opposition, especially the Botswana National Front (BNF), have always  expressed their displeasure regarding the introduction of school fees. Ntuane is not the first Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) MP to speak against the introduction of school fees. Last week the MP for Maun West, Ronald Ridge voiced similar sentiments regarding the introduction of the cost-recovery measures including school fees.
