Ntsoro stars at BCP rally

PALAPYE: Nowadays when launching candidates almost all political formations in Botswana do not want to leave anything to chance. Much attention is given to flair and style.

Seeing that the freedom square does not always attract good crowds, it has become fashionable and politically expedient to hire musicians to act as star attractions at political rallies.  The aim, it appears, is to make rallies more appealing.

Recently a renowned South African singer-cum-poet Mzwakhe Mbuli starred at a Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) rally to bolster the campaign of Baratha-Phathi faction in the run-up to the Kanye central committee elections.  Not wanting to be outdone, the A-Team follow suit when the faction roped in Slizer of Ke gwa kwa Bobonong fame to spice up their political rallies.  Talk of marriages of convenience between music and politics!
