'Ntlodise molapo' worries BPP

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Peoples Party (BPP) members who hold dual membership of other political parties received a battering from party leadership over the weekend. The BPP Francistown West constituency chairperson, Rueben Ketlhoilwe attacked such members and said they are undermining the struggle.

Ketlhoilwe was welcoming members during a BPP women's lunch at Tatitown Customary Court. The former Botswana Congress Party (BCP) operative who defected to the BPP last year said it was disheartening to see BPP members working to advance the cause of rival parties.

He said dual membership that is popularly referred to, as 'ntlodise molapo' is rife at Kanana and Moselewapula wards. "Some of our members participated during the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) primary elections. If we call these comrades to work for our party, they don't turn up," he said bitterly.
