There will be shortage of water supply in Serowe, Palapye, Mahalapye and Gaborone and surrounding areas including Mochudi, Tlokweng, Mogoditshane, Ramotswa and Lobatse.

This comes up after the Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) scheduled maintenance work on its North South Carrier Scheme pipeline.

The water supply interruption will run from tomorrow until Saturday. This pipeline transports water from Letsibogo Dam to the south of the country and supplies Serowe, Palapye and Mahalapye on the way. During this period water users will experience low pressure to no water supply, announced the WUC.
