No three percent salary hike yet

The government's three percent salary increment for civil servants planned for September has not been effected yet.

Director of the Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM), Festinah Bakwena said the government is still negotiating the issue and the hike will be awarded when they are ready.

"The effective date still remains September but I can't say when exactly the pay rise will be implemented," Bakwena said yesterday.
