No plans for bridge at Zanzibar

He says that due to the volume of traffic, priority has been given to constructing the same at Plaartjan border post in Bobirwa.

He says his department has a budget allocation for the bridge at either Plaartjan or Zanzibar but said their investigations revealed that they should target Plaartjan during the current National Development Plan 9. Masimega added that the design and tendering has already begun and said the design may take up to nine months. He, however, said as plans for NDP 10 are ongoing, he hopes the Zanzibar bridge will be in the process.
