No Land Board upgrade plans – Mzwinila

Following government’s decision to upgrade sub-districts into fully-fledged districts, the Minister of Lands and Water Affairs, Kefentse Mzwinila, has stated that there are no plans to restructure and upgrade sub-land boards to align them with the new districts.

He clarified that this is because there is no specific provision for the restructuring of the Land Board in the Tribal Land Act.

Last year, the government restructured and upgraded some sub-districts to fully-fledged districts to bring services closer to the people.
