No evidence to convict, court finds

FRANCISTOWN: The Magistrates Court here acquitted two accused persons yesterday on a single count of robbery for lack of evidence.

Principal magistrate, Peggy Madandume, acquitted the accused yesterday on the grounds that the complainant failed to point out an individual who was amongst the group.

"We can't say the accused are the ones who harassed the complainant because if it wasn't for the jacket, no one would have been arrested," said the magistrate.
