Parliamentary counsel, Lizo Ngcongco has been relieved of his duties, government spokesman, Dr Jeff Ramsey has said. "He has been released from duty," he told Mmegi yesterday. The sacking was reportedly effected yesterday morning, a day before President Ian Khama takes the oath of office in Parliament.

Outgoing Speaker, Patrick Balopi has refused to shed light on the issue curtly saying: "Go and ask him, I am not his spokesperson".
