New technology to speed up sorting mail at Botswana Post

In an effort to improve mail exchange services and automate the processing of mail, Botswana Post has introduced a new Hybrid Mail Machine that comes with an Automatic Sorter.

Speaking at the launch in Gaborone this week, the manager of Expedite Services, Mompati Christos, said he expects all businesses to opt for Botswana Post to handle their bulk mail production covers, template designs, formatting and processing, printing, sorting, folding, enveloping and distributing final branded mail.

Christos said organisations that needed customised letters such as Botswana Telecommunications Corporations, Botswana Power Corporations and banks now have a cheaper solution. All that the customer needs to do is send clients' information reports and leave Botswana Post to do the processing and mailing to the client.  "This is to ensure value for money and optimisation of operational efficiencies," he said.  "Through the Hybrid Mail Unit, we want to offer a solution that will cover all aspects of stationery supply, mail production and distribution.  The Hybrid Mail Unit offers branded and non-branded stationery at competitive prices.  Mail production covers template design, formatting and processing, printing, sorting, folding and enveloping."
