New law spells out judge's pensions

Retired Court of Appeal, High Court and Industrial Court judges who have served continuously for 15 years are now eligible for 'full pension,' starting in October, according to a newly enacted law.

A judge who resigns after serving for more than 10 years but less than 15 will be entitled to a reduced pension proportionate to the period served in relation to 15 years.

Judges who resign after serving continuously for fifteen years, but have not attained the age of retirement will be entitled to a reduced pension proportionate to the age of the judge in relation to the age of retirement.
