New IDM Post Irks Staff

The creation of a new management post outside the newly introduced organisational structure at the embattled Institute of Development Managemrnt (IDM) regional office in Gaborone has fuelled friction between staff and the outgoing regional boss, Audrey Kgosidintsi.

The post of head of programmes, which is not sanctioned by the board and does not exist in the new look organisational structure of the regional office, has been advertised internally.

Speculation has increased among frustrated employees who believe that the new post was created to cover the incompetence of a head of department whose appointment has already been reported to the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) by members of staff.
