The three are facing up to 36 corruption related charges. On Friday, the defence and the prosecution reached a gentleman's agreement on the dates to file responding papers over the disputed involvement of the legal firm Collins, Newman and Company in the case. This came following a notice of motion urging the court to order Nchindo's instructing lawyers, Collins Newman Attorneys, to withdraw from the criminal case.
Advocate Peter Hordes for the defence confirmed before Moroka that they will file their responding papers on April 30. The Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has promised to file a response on May 16. Moroka has set June 6 for the hearing of the dispute over the involvement of the law firm in the case.
