NBB orders political ads off the airwaves

Addressing the media yesterday, the Chairman of the National Broadcasting Authority (NBB), Dr Masego Mpotokwane and board members Oshinka Tsiang and Chris Nkwe, said Botswana was not yet ready for political advertising on radio and TV.
A major concern was the disparities in the financial wherewithal among political parties and that those with massive resources could command unfair advantage.
