NatureCare fundraises for gunshot wound survivor

NatureCare has embarked on a fundraising programme for Malebogo Molefhe, a gunshot wound survivor who was shot several times by her boyfriend a couple of years back following a dispute between the couple.

Believing her to be dead, the boyfriend who was a soldier, then turned the gun on himself, dying instantly. After months of hospitalisation, Molefhe pulled through, but has been rendered a paraplegic.

NatureCare, who have been providing counselling to Molefhe, say the aim is to raise enough funds to buy her an electronic wheelchair. The fundraising event will be in the form of a workshop titled "Communication and Healthy Relationships" which is meant to encourage national debate on the importance of communication in relationships.
