NACA head welcomes deputy coordinator

Newly appointed National AIDS Coordinating Agency (NACA) Deputy Coordinator, Golekanye Setume has been described as a welcome addition to the team by Richard Matlare.

Matlare, who is the head of NACA said; ""We have always needed a deputy to the coordinator and now we are glad to have one," he said.  Matlare said the coordinator, who has a heavy workload, operates at the same level as a permanent secretary, and that, as is the case with a permanent secretary, there was need for a deputy. He said the vacancy was consequently created in February this year. "This post was created in February and we are happy to have him," he said.  Setume previously worked as a deputy permanent secretary in the Ministry of Education until recently when he was transferred to NACA. He is expected to report for duty on May 24.
