Muzila queries her defeat

FRANCISTOWN: One of the parliamentary candidates in Francistown West, Sylvia Tabitha Muzila, says she does not accept the results of the primary poll.

Muzila polled 824 votes against the constituency's incumbent Member of Parliament Tshelang Walter Masisi's 1,263. Another contender, Peter Jomo Ngoma, polled 774 votes. There were 171 spoilt votes.

Muzila claims there were many irregularities, including the the voters' roll being different from the last three voters rolls given to candidates by the party office. The former Francistown District Commissioner says some bona fide voters were turned away.
