Ismail Kayondo, a Ugandan, told the Monitor that he was served with the papers declaring him a persona non grata on September 1 and was detained at the Maximum Security Prison in Gaborone until Friday morning when he was escorted to Sir Seretse Khama International Airport by plainclothes security officers.

This is a security matter."
