The police in Mochudi have raised concern over the mushrooming of shebeens that are said to need to be urgently tamed.

Mochudi police station commander, superintendent Smash Mokoba said they have arrested and charged six people for operating illegal shebeens in Mochudi this past weekend.

Mokoba said the operators who do not comply with liquor trading hours, were charged a fine of P1,000 and their alcohol was confiscated by the police. “Crimes are committed at these shebeens late at night after the stipulated operating times.
