Murder suspect accuses the state of conspiracy

Murder suspect Blessing Mukweni has accused the state of conspiracy to protect the real culprit. The prosecution alleges that Mukweni shot and killed an officer of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security Services, Daniel Moilwa, in Gaborone on November 19 last year.

Mukweni says the state is protecting the real murder suspect. "I am being made a sacrificial lamb while the real killer is out there and known to the state," Mukweni insists. 

He also complains of delays by the state to obtain results of ballistic tests, which could his innocence, and demands to be furnished with his medical report in order for him to know the extent of the injuries he suffered during the time of the alleged crime.
