Murder shocks Somerset residents

FRANCISTOWN: Somerset West residents are reeling in shock after the murder of a 27-year-old woman on Monday night.

 The deceased was found dead near Chedu Choga complex in Francistown. Police suspect the woman was murdered by the boyfriend who has gone missing. Francistown police boss, Alakanani Makobo said the suspect is nowhere to be found. He said that the suspect has another murder case before the courts.

"He has another case of murder before court but so far I do not know the status and we are trying to establish whether he was out on bail or not," he said. He added that the woman who died on Monday had been stabbed several times with a knife. He said that at the moment, the boyfriend is the only suspect. "We understand that they had had a misunderstanding earlier," he said. Neighbours of the deceased said that the suspect came to the house on the night of the murder and collected his clothes.
