Murder incidents on the rise in F/town

FRANCISTOWN: The murder of a South African truck driver at a popular drinking joint known as Chedu Choga last Saturday has raised fears that the city is increasingly becoming unsafe, especially for the visitor.

The murdered South African's colleague escaped with stab wounds to his shoulder. The two South Africans had taken a breather after delivering some pieces of furniture in Francistown, and parked their vehicle near Chedu Choga bar and bottle store. The duo were still relaxing when three men aged between 22 and 28 years pounced on them, demanding cash at knife-point.

Officer-in-charge of Kutlwano police Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Assistant Superintendent Madziba Duna explained that the two men were employees of South Africa's Massyn Movers and were preparing to leave at midnight when the knife-wielding trio attacked them.
